Finding the right place for your child’s education can feel overwhelming, especially when you want to ensure they receive the support they need to thrive. That’s why our June Open Day was designed to give parents and carers a clear picture of how we support learners, particularly those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Whether you are exploring further education options or looking for alternative education pathways, this event will help you understand how we can meet your child’s unique needs.
What You Can Expect at the Open Day
Tours of Learning Spaces
We brought visitors through each of our classrooms. They are designed for all sorts of different learning styles, including spaces dedicated to EHCP learners. We strive to create a calm, supportive atmosphere that encourages confidence and independence.
Meet Our Support Staff
Our team includes teaching specialists trained in SEN support who work closely with learners to provide a more personalised experience. We discussed each child’s specific needs and let them know about the strategies we use to help our learners succeed.
Information Sessions
We support transitions from school to college or vocational training. These Open Day sessions highlight the pathways available for students who benefit from alternative education approaches.
How We Support EHCP Learners
Supporting EHCP learners is at the heart of what we do. We understand that every child’s needs are different, so we tailor our approach to provide the right balance of academic challenge and personal support.
Individual Learning Plans
Each learner has a plan that reflects their goals, strengths, and areas where they need extra help. These plans are regularly reviewed with parents and learners to ensure progress.
Small Group and One-to-One Support
We offer focused sessions that allow learners to work at their own pace, building skills and confidence in a supportive setting.
Access to Specialist Services
Our open day will introduce you to the range of specialist services available, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and counselling.
Why Consider Alternative Education and Further Education?
Choosing the right educational path can make a big difference in your child’s development and happiness. Alternative education offers flexible, personalised learning that can better suit learners who struggle in traditional mainstream settings. Further education builds on this foundation, providing opportunities for skill development and career preparation.
By attending our Open Day, loads of families were able to see examples of how alternative education works in a more practical environment focusing on experience and skills, while giving them the tools and qualifications they need to move confidently into further education or employment.
Join Us and Discover the Difference
Attending an Open Day is more than just a tour. It’s an opportunity to connect with staff that understands your child’s needs. You’ll leave with a clear sense of how we support SEN and EHCP learners and offer pathways that help every student reach their potential.
If you want to explore further education options or learn more about alternative education, SEN, and EHCP support, this event is the perfect place to start.
We look forward to welcoming you and answering your questions!
