The Computing, Games Design & Esports Pathway prepares learners for the diverse world of Technology. Learners will develop a range of skills including;

Understand the principles of programming.
Qualifications involves working through a series of set assessments. and learners work independently, at their own pace but are fully encouraged to achieve their personal outcomes.
Admission criteria
The Hospitality Pathway is for anyone aged 16-25 with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
There are several levels within this Pathway, each learner will be internally assessed and placed on the correct level based on their skills, prior achievement and goals within this pathway.
The Curriculum Explained
This Pathway covers a very wide range of essential areas to succeed within the the Computing & Games Design or Esports Industry.
Learners will start their journey by completing introduction qualifications in all aspects of the technology industry. Learners can then specialise at level 2 to pursue their chosen pathway to work or Higher Education.

Establishing an Esports Organisation

Research and Pre-production in the Games Industry

Game Scripting

3D Modelling in Games

Be able to design a program in response to a client brief.

Be able to test, refine, document and review the program.

Course content -
Year 1 - Introduction to Computing, Games Design and Esports
Year 2 - Computing, Games Design and Esports level 1
Year 3 - Computing & Games Design level 2 or Skills In Esports Level 2
Year 4 - Games Design and Development level 3 or National In Esports

Entry Criteria
There are several levels within this pathway. Each learner will be internally assessed and placed on the correct level based on their skills and prior achievement within the subject.
